Vegetable wholesale market price reports

This project has now concluded

The Vegetable market price reporting pilot program (VG16084) was a levy funded project that provided market prices reports for a selection of ten vegetable products on both a daily (Monday and Thursday) and monthly basis. The reports were published via the Hort Innovation website from May 2018 to May 2019.

The reports utilised Freshlogic analysis of market prices recorded by Ausmarket Consultants, which are based on independent daily market interviews of wholesalers and buyers in each wholesale market.

The reports focused on market price reporting for general informational purposes. They are not intended to determine the actual price received by your wholesaler for your product.

For a limited time, the final three monthly summary reports produced by the project can continue to be accessed below.

This project has been funded by Hort Innovation using the vegetable research and development levy and funds from the Australian Government.

Monthly reports

Released at the end of each month, these reports detail longer term price trends. The reports include a three-year average monthly price for each month, in addition to the current year’s monthly price average and a rolling 3-month price forecast, based on observed price trends assuming comparable supply and demand conditions. The report also provides price analysis on the market prices according to the state of origin.
