This short project ran in 2020 to understand the impact of COVID-19 on the horticulture sector in accessing and securing their casual workforce. The study provided an 18-month outlook on the casual labour demand across different regions, to support industry discussion on longer-term COVID-19 responses

Multi-scale monitoring tools for managing Australian tree crops – phase 2 (various projects) (ST19001)

This program continued the development, trial and extension of technology-based crop mapping and monitoring tools to help growers in predicting fruit quality and yield, and monitoring tree health – including in the early detection of pest and disease outbreaks.

Multi-scale monitoring tools for managing Australian tree crops: Industry meets innovation (ST15012 and others) (ST15012)

This grant-funded project progressed the investigation and trial of a number technology-based crop mapping and monitoring tools, and delivered the first iteration of the Australian Tree Crop Rapid Response Map.
