Multi-Industry MRL Data Access and Maintenance Investment (MT25002)
Project start date: 28/08/2025
Project completion date: 28/08/2022
Summary:
This project will deliver a centralised, cross-industry Maximum Residue Limit (MRL) app to support export compliance across 17 major horticultural commodities, including avocados, cherries, berries, mangoes, melons, apples, pears, and stone fruit. The app will provide real-time, country-specific MRL and withholding period data via a user-friendly web and mobile interface, integrated with Australian Table Grape’s Association's existing export registration systems.
For growers the platform offers a scalable, cost-effective solution to manage chemical use and reduce compliance risks. Key outputs include live data feeds, custom interfaces per commodity, and long-term governance to ensure sustainability. The app will help safeguard market access and streamline decision-making across Australia’s horticultural export industries.
This project is funded by Hort Innovation, using the table grape, summerfruit, apples & pear, blueberry, raspberry & blackberry, strawberry, mango, melon, avocado, and cherry research and development levies and contributions from the Australian Government.
