VegWHS training resources (VG16031)

Key research provider: RMCG
Publication date: Friday, June 30, 2017

What was it all about?

The levy-funded VegPRO initiative provides targeted training and education programs to help upskill participants at all levels in the vegetable industry. New opportunities and resources are added under VegPRO as sub-projects.

VegWHS training resources (VG16031) was a VegPRO sub-project with a focus on workplace health and safety (WHS) for vegetable farms. It developed eight video resources to help growers make use of a suite of ‘VegWHS’ tools – VegWHS being the industry’s WHS resource, distributed to growers on a carrot-shaped USB. VegWHS was produced under previous Vegetable Fund project Developing vegetable industry occupational health and safety resources (VG13053) and includes detailed guidelines, information and assessment tools to ensure vegetable workplaces remain safe.
