What was it all about?

From 2016 to 2020, this project drove industry awareness and adoption of R&D outcomes within the Australian persimmon industry. It’s communication and extension initiatives kept persimmon growers and other industry stakeholders up-to-date with the latest research activities, marketing initiatives and other news and issues.

The key outputs of the program were:

• The Persimmon Press e-newsletter, which was delivered via email directly to all growers and supply chain stakeholders on the Persimmon Australia database. • Two National Persimmon Industry Field Day/Conference events were held. The events included farm visits, conference sessions, group dinners and market visits, to maximise attendees’ access to information and encourage industry interaction.
