Through this program, six advanced selections from the previous investment National passionfruit breeding and evaluation program (PF19000) will be evaluated and at least two of these varieties will be released for commercial plantation.
The breeding team will generate and evaluate 3500 new progenies, from which 60 superior progenies will be further evaluated to develop a pipeline for future release.
