A scoping study to review fungi based global innovations to inform product development opportunities (MU20004)
What’s it all about?
This investment is investigating new food-based opportunities for mushroom growers so that growers can be informed about the viability and feasibility of potential new revenue streams.
The scoping study will involve an extensive review of existing literature to identify existing, edible food product innovations containing mushrooms, highlighting relevant commercial, production, intellectual property and business considerations. An analysis of potential opportunities will also be conducted in consultation with the mushroom industry.
The review’s findings will uncover the market potential for a variety of mushroom products.
