Ongoing project

National agrichemical management program (MT24023)

Key research provider: AUSVEG

Project start date: 11/07/2025

Project completion date: 2/09/2030

This project aims to strengthen the Australian vegetable industry by improving access to effective crop protection products and safeguarding export markets. It will promote investment in the development, approval, and renewal of agrichemicals while increasing awareness of international Maximum Residue Limits (MRLs) to protect trade. By building on existing Strategic Agrichemical Review Process (SARP) reports, the project will engage growers, researchers, and agrichemical companies to identify and address the sector’s most pressing crop protection needs.

The outcomes will support sustainable production, reduce risk, and ensure growers have access to the tools they need to manage pests, weeds, and diseases, ultimately improving productivity and protecting market access.
