Key research provider: Australian Mango Industry Association
Publication date: Thursday, December 18, 2025

Project start date: December 2025

Project completion date: January 2028

This project will support the Australian mango industry to expand export opportunities and strengthen market performance in targeted international markets. Led by the Australian Mango Industry Association, the project focuses on five key activity streams: developing an export roadmap, building export capacity, market development, market access and protocol improvement, and project management.

Key outputs include a ten-year export roadmap (with regular reviews), business cases for new market access and improved phytosanitary protocols, presence at targeted trade shows and in-country activities, export capacity building through regional meetings, a Mango Export Manual, and technical support for export accreditation and compliance.

This initiative aims to help the industry recover export volumes to 8,000 tonnes by 2030 and 12,000 tonnes by 2035, supporting growers and exporters to navigate market challenges, improve profitability, and maintain Australia’s reputation as a premium supplier of mangoes.
