Highlights from the 2024/25 Chestnut marketing campaign

In 2024/25, Hort Innovation invested levy funds into targeted marketing campaigns designed to increase consumer awareness, boost fresh produce consumption, and strengthen connections between growers and their customers. 

Guided by consumer insights and delivered in partnership with industry, these campaigns helped more Australian households discover, purchase, and enjoy locally grown fruit and vegetables. 

Key highlights for chestnuts include:  

  • Chestnuts Australia ran a consumer recipe competition with the aim to encourage user generated content. The winner’s Chestnut Ciambella cake was shared as a reel and received 3.8k+ views. The content will be used again next year and re-purposed for recipe card distribution.  
  • In addition, instructional video content has been amplified. The air fryer chestnut reel (developed in 2024) continues to perform exceptionally well with 69.5k total views.  
  • Across social media, inspirational content has been showcased, along with posts highlighting chestnut’s key benefits and top tips for usage and storage.
