Nursery sustainable plant production and biosecurity preparedness (BY24004)

Australian production nurseries face increasing risks to business sustainability from plant biosecurity threats, regulatory changes, climate impacts, and supply chain pressures. This project aims to make nurseries more resilient by building on the momentum and learnings from previous national biosecurity programs (NY15004 and NY20001).  

It will deliver dedicated technical support, upskilling, and resources to help growers adopt best management practices, strengthen plant protection and biosecurity systems, and meet evolving market and regulatory demands. 

This project aims to future-proof the Australian nursery industry by driving sustainability, biosecurity preparedness, digital transformation, and market access, ensuring growers are equipped to thrive.
