This project proposes a globally integrated trade and professional marketing strategy for the almond industry, designed to strengthen international market development, enhance grower returns, and position Australian almonds as a premium, high-quality product. The project’s core objective is to deliver a coordinated program of outbound trade missions, ambassador-led campaigns, health and food professional engagement, trade communications, and market research - focusing on key export markets including Southeast Asia, India, and China.

A key output of this project is the delivery of a multi-year, multi-channel program that raises the visibility of Australian almonds across supply chains, builds relationships with trade and distribution partners, and supports professionalacross health and culinary sectors. Activities include participation in major trade shows, ambassador engagement, targeted communications via digital and local language platforms, and structured education programs for health and food professionals. The project also incorporates strategic market research, including bi-product utilisation and campaign impact evaluation, to inform ongoing strategy and innovation.

This project is expected to strengthen the global brand and market access of Australian almonds, foster new and existing trade relationships, and support the long-term growth, value, and resilience of the Australian almond industry.
