Almond industry statistics and data collection 2023-2025 (AL22007)

Key research provider: Almond Board of Australia

What is it all about?

This project collects industry statistics and makes them readily available to almond growers and other industry stakeholders, such as processors and marketers.

The competitiveness and sustainability of the Australian almond industry relies on having access to up-to-date and accurate data and statistics to enable the industry to collaboratively plan, develop and implement appropriate and timely industry strategies and management responses during a continued expansion phase. The data provides valuable information and enables tracking industry performance over time and resource allocation.

The key aims of the project are to:

  • Facilitate the collection of accurate and robust almond industry data and statistics suitable for industry strategic planning activities and to demonstrate insight to industry
  • Facilitate the timely delivery of collected data and industry statistics through publication material that is relevant and targeted to a broad range of industry stakeholder groups
  • Enable almond growers and stakeholders to make timely and effective decisions to aid in industry planning and resource prioritisation, providing a supportive operative environment for industry participants.
  • Support industry sustainability positioning through the delivery of environmental sustainability credentials that will, once collected, provide credible industry data to monitor, as well as significant opportunities to assist with the marketing of Australian almonds.
