Australian almond industry conferences 2013 to 2015 (AL12702)
Publication date: March 30, 2017
Delivery Partner: Almond Board of Australia
This project supported three years of the Australian Almond Conference, held in 2013, 2014 and 2016, to provide industry members and stakeholders with an opportunity to gain further information on the latest research and techniques as well as a forum for interaction and networking.
Each conference program took place across three days incorporating presentations, key-note speakers, workshops, trade exhibitions and networking opportunities across the three-day program.
The conferences were attended by delegates representing the vast majority of Australian production as well as processing and marketing, valued members of the research community, government and major input suppliers.
During 2015, the organising committee decided to change the conference to a biennial event, with an Almond Research & Development Forum and associated field day to be conducted in every off-conference year.
The numbers of delegates attending the conference increased rapidly over the three conferences demonstrating how effective and useful the events were.
