What is it all about?

This project aims to strengthen the quality and competitiveness of Australian avocados in export markets by benchmarking retail fruit quality in Hong Kong and Kuala Lumpur. In collaboration with Applied Horticultural Research (AHR), the project will monitor fruit quality weekly over two years and link results to supply chain data to identify causes of damage. 

For growers and exporters, this means real-time feedback via an interactive dashboard, enabling continuous improvement and informed export strategies. Findings will be shared through presentations and articles, supporting industry-wide efforts to maintain premium quality and build trust with international retailers and importers.
