What is it all about?

This project is developing a data and insights product roadmap for the horticulture sector. It will review Hort Innovation’s current data tools, platforms and information products to identify gaps, opportunities and future needs for growers and industry. 

The work involves analysing existing systems, engaging with users, and mapping the activities required to build a more integrated and reliable data ecosystem. By understanding how insights are currently generated and delivered, the project will define clearer pathways for improved functionality, accessibility and long‑term sustainability. 

Expected outcomes include a detailed product roadmap, priority recommendations and an investment pathway that strengthens Hort Innovation’s position as the leading source of Australian horticulture data and industry intelligence.
