Baseline of Community Trust in Australian Horticulture (HA25005)

Key research provider: Voconiq

Project start date: January 2026

Project completion date: June 2026

This project establishes the first national baseline of community trust in Australian horticulture, measuring how the Australian public perceives the fruit, vegetable, nut, nursery and turf sectors.

Using a nationally representative survey and Voconiq’s established Community Trust in Rural Industries methodology, the project will identify current levels of trust, benchmark horticulture against other rural industries, and uncover the key drivers that shape community acceptance.

The project aims to support growers, industry bodies, and Hort Innovation to strengthen social licence to operate, and inform future communication, engagement, and investment decisions across the horticulture sector.
