This project provides an independent, evidence-based assessment of two key initiatives - MT22004 and VG22006 - to determine whether they are on track to meet their contracted deliverables and outcomes. It serves as a critical review mechanism for Hort Innovation and its partners, including subcontractors, collaborators, and project reference groups. The goal is to ensure that project activities are aligned with expectations and to identify opportunities for continuous improvement in delivery and evaluation. 

By offering actionable insights and recommendations, the assessment will help refine current efforts and guide future planning and investment in the melon and vegetable industries. Ultimately, it supports Hort Innovation’s commitment to delivering value through RD&E funding, ensuring alignment with strategic investment plans and maximizing benefits for growers and the broader Australian community.
