National Bee Pest Surveillance Program (PH25001)
This project supports the continuation of the National Bee Pest Surveillance Program (NBPSP), a coordinated, risk-based initiative to detect exotic and regionally significant bee pests.
Ongoing project
Efficient almond orchard systems (AL25001)
Delivery Partner: South Australian Research and Development Institute (SARDI)
This project will develop almond orchard systems that better suit Australian conditions. Through field trials at the Almond Centre of Excellence and a commercial orchard, the research will explore different planting densities, varietal mixes, and management strategies. The goal is to provide practical insights that help growers make informed decisions about orchard design and resource use.
By building on existing research and testing approaches under local conditions, the project will aim to support improved productivity, resource efficiency, and long-term sustainability for the Australian almond industry.
This project is a strategic levy investment in the Hort Innovation Almond Fund
