This project identified the supply chain and packaging factors contributing to mushroom quality loss and provided guidance to help growers maintain product quality.  

This investment strengthened the Australian mushroom industry’s ability to identify, manage and respond to food safety, biosecurity and reputational risks.

This project established Mushroom Health Science Australia (MHSA), a central online resource designed to provide healthcare professionals with credible, evidence-based information on mushroom nutrition and health.

This project explored why mushroom consumption has declined in Australia and identified opportunities to encourage more frequent purchase and use. Through consumer research and industry workshops, the project examined how Australians shop for, prepare and consume mushrooms.
