    What is it all about?

    This project will provide a coordinated national extension and adoption program for the macadamia industry. It will connect research, industry data and grower insights with practical on-farm decision making, helping growers and other stakeholders access reliable information, adopt improved practices and respond to emerging challenges.  

    Activities will focus on understanding industry needs, translating research into practical guidance, supporting practice change and strengthening industry capability over time. Delivered through regionally based industry development staff and existing industry networks, the project will ensure activities remain relevant to different growing regions and business types.  

    The project aims to build grower confidence, improve decision-making and support a more connected, resilient and productive industry.

    Macadamia crop forecasting 2026-28 (MC24009)

    This project will deliver, each year, a climate-adjusted macadamia crop forecast for the coming season, as well as longer-term forecasts (out to 10 years) for expected production amounts. These forecasts will inform processors and producers, supporting decision-making for future export expansion and industry growth.
