As Australia's almond industry continues to grow, reliable data is becoming increasingly important for business, investment and industry planning. This project will continue the industry's statistics program while reintroducing benchmarking, which has not been undertaken for more than 20 years.
The project will collect and analyse data from growers, processors, marketers and other industry sources. Participating growers will receive confidential reports comparing their farm's performance with regional and national averages, helping them better understand their business and identify opportunities for improvement. Industry-wide reporting will also provide a clearer picture of production, costs and profitability across the sector.
The project will create a long-term evidence base to support industry planning, research and investment decisions. It will also help track the performance and development of the Australian almond industry over time, providing trusted information to guide future priorities and opportunities.
This project is a strategic levy investment in the Hort Innovation Almond Fund
