The Horticulture Investment Roadmaps are the new investment plans that capture the priorities of each horticulture industry in a consistent format. The Horticulture Investment Roadmaps show the priorities growers and industry have identified for each horticulture industry and provide a clearer line of sight between those priorities and levy-funded activity.

Growers and industry told us what they wanted:
•    Easier access to information about levy investments
•    Simpler information about grower investment
•    Transparent and current financial data
•    Better visibility of industry priorities, and
•    Improved information to support decision making.
The new Investment Roadmaps and Dashboard respond to that feedback by bringing priorities, projects and levy investment information together in one easy-to-access digital location. 

The Dashboard is a new online tool that allows growers and industry stakeholders to easily view industry priorities, funded projects and levy investments across Australia's horticulture sector in one place.

Growers and industry stakeholders can:
•    View the priorities identified by their industry, and others
•    See where levy funds are being invested
•    Explore current research and development and marketing projects
•    See how funded projects align with industry priorities
•    Identify areas where industries are working on similar challenges and initiatives.

The Investment Roadmaps were developed in collaboration with growers and industry via consultation with Australia's 37 horticulture industries between February 2025 and June 2026.

Industry input and analysis was used to identify shared sector Objectives, Initiatives and investment priorities.

The Dashboard does not change existing levy investment decision-making processes. It improves transparency by making it easier for growers and industry to see priorities, current projects, endorsed investment opportunities, and how investments align.

Yes. The Dashboard allows growers to explore projects relevant to their industry and see how they align with priorities.

The Dashboard is publicly available through the Hort Innovation website and can be accessed by growers, industry representatives, researchers, delivery partners, and other stakeholders.

The Dashboard makes it easier for growers to:

•    Identify opportunities for collaboration
•    Track investment activity over time.

Industry organisations, researchers, universities, delivery partners and government agencies can use the Dashboard to better understand industry priorities, identify areas of common interest and support more coordinated investment and collaboration across the sector.

We have created industry clusters – these are industries that have commonalities such as crop type e.g. Tropical or Temperate tree crops – and by comparing these like-for-like industries it will be easier to see alignment between priorities and projects. 

Industries can be identified by an icon across the top of the Dashboard – scroll to the right to see each industry.

Fully coloured circles indicate an industry has prioritised the Initiative as high or medium and has a project (or projects) allocated to that Initiative.
A circle with only a coloured outline indicates that the Initiative is prioritised as high or medium, but no project is allocated at this time.

At the top of the Dashboard is a drop-down menu that allows you to search by Objective (priorities) / Initiative / Industry / Project.

On the ‘Explore current projects and endorsed investment recommendations’ web page, use the 2nd drop-down tab at the top and select ‘endorsed list’.

Users should check if they are using a supported browser and internet connection. If the issue continues, they should contact Hort Innovation for support.

The Dashboard includes all 37 horticulture industries involved in the Investment Roadmap consultation process.

If users notice information that appears incorrect or needs clarification, they should contact the relevant Industry Services Manager related to the specific industry (ISM name listed at the bottom of the industry page).

Growers can use the Dashboard to understand current priorities, identify areas of alignment across industries, support discussions with peak industry bodies and other growers, and explore opportunities for collaboration. The Dashboard also shows where levies are currently invested and what the levy investment forecast looks like for the next three years.

The priorities reflect consultation and analysis between February 2025 and June 2026. Grower and industry feedback will continue to inform future annual reviews. We encourage you to contact your industry service manager for further information.
