With large volumes of Australian horticultural products required to meet phytosanitary compliance in both the domestic and export markets, the associated cost can be significant. Although government inspection and compliance costs are well documented, the compliance costs, from an industry perspective, are not well understood or documented.
This project sought to contribute to the understanding of supply chains operating within Australian horticulture in the context of phytosanitary compliance, efficiency, and cost, specifically regarding phytosanitary treatments.
