What is it all about?

This project is identifying and prioritising growth opportunities for the summerfruit industry at an individual commodity level.

In 2022, Hort Innovation delivered the Consumer demand spaces for horticulture (MT21003) project to support growers and the wider horticulture sector in their decision-making on ‘where to play’ and ‘how to win’ when seeking to engage Australian consumers.

This foundational data on usage and perception of fruits, vegetables and nuts included ‘summerfruit’ at an aggregate level as one of the 31 commodities explored. The summerfruit industry would now like this knowledge at an individual commodity level for apricots, plums, peaches and nectarines.
