This project funded the Australian Banana Industry Congress, held in Sydney from 22 to 24 June 2017. With the themes of resilience, innovation and sustainability, Congress 2017 focused on growing the capacity of the national industry by arming growers with the latest research and insights from those core themes, in addition to marketing updates and social events that celebrated the industry.
The event was a chance for the latest banana R&D and marketing programs and results to be shared with industry. There were many opportunities for networking and a chance for all parts of the banana industry including researchers to exchange information.
