Australian Pears: NZ export campaign

This campaign leveraged a key export opportunity in New Zealand to drive a sales lift of 10 per cent in stores with display competitions and 32 per cent in stores with sampling added to the mix, delivering $600,000 in sales over the campaign period.
Local New Zealand supply of pears typically tapers off in September, creating the right window for Australian Packham pears to stand out.
In partnership with Woolworths NZ and MG Group, Hort Innovation ran an integrated retailer program that included back-to-school placements, Rewards Point incentives, digital advertising outside store entrances and online, retailer engagement and in-store consumer sampling and promotions.
The result was stronger demand in a priority export market. Alongside the sales uplift and new-to-brand customer growth, the campaign also reached 640,000 shoppers through MG Group retail display competitions.
