The Hort Innovation team has been out in the community, educating, engaging and celebrating what makes Australian Bananas the ultimate fuel for an active lifestyle. 

Recently, the team took part in the Royal Queensland Show (Ekka) and the Moree Festival of Health, reinforcing the joy and energy of Australian Bananas through hands-on activations. 

At Ekka, a standout moment was seeing some of Australia’s incredible banana growers volunteer their time at the stand and teach showgoers about where bananas come from and how they are grown. From handing out samples, to sharing insights, their involvement helped connect consumers directly to the people behind the produce. 

Meanwhile, the Moree Festival of Health brought the community together to promote positive health outcomes, mental wellbeing and inclusive engagement. We had a sampling team attend the event and hand out bananas to festival goers, with banana branded bins and attire to remind everyone of Australia’s favourite natural energy source. The focus on nutrition and wellbeing helped inspire healthy habits and strengthen local connections, with Aussie bananas playing a key role in the conversation. There was even a special guest – Healthy Harold! 

These experiential events are made even more impactful by the growers who generously give their time to share stories and the growing journey from farm to plate.
