What is it all about?

This project ensures vegetable, onion and potato growers continue to have access to high value, levy funded technical resources that support on farm decision making and practice change. It responds to strong industry demand for existing printed resources that are widely used but currently in short supply.

The project will source original print files for key resources, including booklets and field guides covering areas such as pest and disease management, protected cropping and post harvest management. Resources will then be reviewed to confirm they remain current and technically accurate before being professionally printed and distributed.

Printing quantities will be informed by needs identified by VegNET Regional Development Officers across all regions, ensuring resources are targeted to where they are most needed. Distribution is coordinated through VegNET so materials reach growers efficiently via trusted extension networks.

In addition to reprinting and distribution, the project will capture feedback on how the resources are used, their value to growers, and any changes in on farm practice that result. This helps demonstrate impact and informs future investment decisions.

By maintaining access to practical, trusted information in printed format, the project supports knowledge uptake, extension effectiveness and improved grower capability across the vegetable, onion and potato industries.
