Health professionals play an important role in shaping food choices and nutrition advice. This project will help the avocado, fresh potato and vegetable industries provide health professionals with credible, evidence-based information about the role of these foods in healthy Australian diets.
By continually reviewing emerging research and translating it into practical, evidence-based resources, Healthy Horticulture will help ensure health professionals have access to current, credible information about the role of avocados, potatoes and vegetables in healthy diets. Resources will be designed for use in consultations, education settings and broader public health communications.
Key outputs will include nutrition messaging frameworks, evidence summaries, website content, webinars, podcasts and other resources designed to help health professionals confidently recommend avocados, potatoes and vegetables.
