At Hort Innovation, we believe in backing people who are ready to lead with purpose and make a lasting impact in horticulture and beyond. That’s why we’re sponsoring horticulture growers and levy payers to participate in the Australian Rural Leadership Program (ARLP). 

Delivered by the Australian Rural Leadership Foundation, the ARLP is a nationally recognised leadership development experience that spans 15 months. It’s designed to build leadership capability across rural, regional and remote Australia, with a strong focus on personal growth, collaboration, and long-term impact. 

Participants in the ARLP will take part in:

• Four immersive face-to-face sessions held in diverse regional locations across Australia
• Online learning modules that support reflection and skill-building
• Independent project work that encourages participants to apply their leadership in real-world contexts.

The program is designed to challenge, stretch and support participants as they reflect on their leadership style, build resilience, and grow alongside a diverse cohort of peers from across industries and regions. 

The scholarship is an ideal opportunity for individuals who care deeply about the future of horticulture and regional communities, are open to learning, growing, and being challenged, are already contributing as leaders (formally or informally) and want to make a long-term impact in rural, regional, or remote Australia.
