Melon training and leadership program (VM22003)

What's it all about?

This investment provides a suite of training opportunities for melon growers, with the aim of  increasing engagement and providing a succession plan for leadership roles within the melon industry.

Melons Australia will advertise the opportunities via their industry communications program, as well as their roadshow and conference investment.

Specific opportunities that will be on offer throughout the program include:

Australian Rural Leadership Foundation TRAIL for Emerging Leaders (two participants)

TRAIL is a cross-sector, challenge-based seven-day leadership program for Australia’s emerging rural leaders. TRAIL helps participants develop a strong platform of skills, attributes and knowledge, enabling emerging leaders to engage more effectively in their organisations, communities and industries.

Marcus Oldham Rural Leadership Program (three participants)

The Marcus Oldham Rural Leadership Program allows participants to develop leadership, communication and planning skills. Through personal involvement and group participation, participants will gain an understanding of their strengths and development needs, as well as having the opportunity to network with keynote speakers from a range of rural and community organisations from across Australia.

AICD Foundations of Directorship Course (five online participants)

This three-day program spread across a four-week period provides aspiring directors with a comprehensive overview of the main components of directorship; governance, finance and strategy/risk.

Melbourne Business School Leadership Program (six online participants)

The Melbourne Business School Leadership Program provides opportunities for mid-to-senior level manager to develop new leadership skills, behaviours and mindsets to navigate complex leadership challenges. The course is four weeks in duration with an additional two weeks of pre-course preparation.

Moshie Lean Leaders Course (five online participants)

The Moshie National Lean Leaders program consists of ten four-hour workshops across twenty weeks. The course seeks to educate participants on how to lead and sustain continuous improvement in their workplace.

AICD Company Directors Course (one participant)

The AICD Company Directors Course provides an in-depth look at the responsibilities and expectation of directors. It explores issues and trends facing today’s boards and businesses and presents an excellent opportunity to grow a participant’s understanding of what effective governance looks like in practice.
