What was it all about?
The Cherry Industry Conference 2026 brought together growers, exporters, researchers and industry partners from across Australia to discuss issues affecting the cherry industry and share practical solutions. The event attracted strong participation and received highly positive feedback, with most attendees rating the conference, speakers and program highly. All survey respondents reported making new or stronger industry connections.
Delivered by Cherry Growers Australia (CGA) over three days in Adelaide, the conference combined presentations, workshops and industry tours to showcase current research, industry developments and on-farm innovation. Participants heard from industry experts, explored new technologies and production approaches, and discussed opportunities to improve productivity, market outcomes and industry resilience. Conference resources were produced and shared to support ongoing access to information after the event.
The project was designed to strengthen communication and collaboration across the cherry industry at a time of changing market conditions, biosecurity risks and other production challenges. Feedback showed attendees identified new ideas and practices relevant to their businesses, demonstrating the value of bringing the industry together.
