Frontiers Advisory Network
The Frontiers Advisory Network brings together growers, industry, technical experts and commercial partners to help shape big ideas for Australian horticulture. It supports better decisions, stronger partnerships and more effective co-investment, so that promising ideas have the best chance of delivering real value.
The network helps Hort Innovation test ideas, assess opportunities and strengthen Frontiers investments. Depending on the project, advisors may help shape early concepts, provide technical or market insight, support due diligence, or connect projects with the people and partners needed to move them forward.

The advisory network supports several Frontiers pathways, in line with the Hort Innovation Strategy 2024–2026.
Advisors may help shape opportunities from the early stages, including discovery, concept development and validation. They may also support partner assessment, project reviews, steering committees, and monitoring and evaluation to help keep investments relevant, well managed and focused on impact.
Managed by Artesian Venture Partners, the Hort Innovation Venture Fund invests in agrifood tech start-ups with strong growth potential. Advisors may support due diligence and help connect start-ups with growers for industry insight, trials and business development opportunities.
Advisors may support Australian-Grown Innovation as mentors, domain experts or steering committee members. Participants may also be connected with people in the network to support market discovery and strengthen new ideas.
Advisors contribute as individuals, bringing experience and insight that helps inform investment decisions. Some may be drawn from an advisory register of specialist skills, while others may be invited when specific knowledge or experience is needed. These recommendations are often collected digitally to utilise our advisors time efficiently and effectively, ensuring minimal impact on their day whilst gathering the essential information needed to shape our investments to benefit the industry.
