What is it all about?
This project will deliver the 2026 Australian Cherry Industry Conference, bringing together growers, researchers, exporters, and supply-chain partners to share knowledge, strengthen connections, and celebrate achievement across the cherry sector. The conference is planned for Adelaide from 30 May to 1 June 2026, in conjunction with Hort Connections 2026, to maximise cross-industry engagement and accessibility.
A key output of this project is a three-day program including a full-day symposium (with sessions on quality, sustainability, export, and profitability), a half-day field visit in the Adelaide Hills, targeted workshops on trade and biosecurity, a welcome networking event, and a gala dinner and awards ceremony. The event is designed to accelerate knowledge exchange, build capability, and strengthen collaboration across the value chain.
This project is expected to increase adoption of research outcomes, reinforce industry collaboration, and support a profitable, resilient, and sustainable future for the Australian cherry industry.
