Key research provider: Citrus Australia
Publication date: Wednesday, April 13, 2022

What was it all about?

Running from 2019 to 2022, this project developed a coordinated approach to agrichemical risk management for the Australian citrus industry and ensured that residues on fruit do not exceed regulatory limits in Australia and overseas.

It is also maintained information on importing country maximum residue limits (MRLs), and provided updates and advice to industry on them. This included updating of the MRL tables that are available to industry via Citrus Australia, and the revision of the industry’s Guide to Achieving Citrus Export MRLs, also available from Citrus Australia.

Communication on AgChem updates and extension resources, including orchard sprayer training and a spraying calculator were also developed and are available via the Citrus Australia website.

Outcomes from this project were also communication via the Citrus industry communications program (CT18000).
