Meet the Regional Extension Team

Horticulture is rapidly growing as an industry in Australia, with a 40 per cent rise in value over the last five years. Growth is expected to continue with the sector’s farm gate production having the potential to increase to between $20 and $30 billion by 2030.

To support this growth, Hort Innovation launched an Extension initiative to enhance the coordination, communication, and application of research and development outcomes. The team includes Regional Extension Managers, based in the regions, who will play a linking role within industry. You can read more about the initiative on our website here.

Below, you can get to know each of the Regional Extension Managers to hear about their background working in Extension as well as a sneak peek into what is in store for each of their regions in 2021.

Hort Innovation Regional Extension Managers are seeking feedback from horticulture industry participants on each growing region's Regional Extension Strategy 2022-26. This is an opportunity to shape extension activities in your region to ensure amplification and practice change from Hort Innovation levy fund investments.
