Reducing the risk of illegally imported citrus budwood

Closing date: 25 October 2019

Request for Proposal

Hort Innovation is seeking a suitably qualified, experienced and capable delivery partner for the project: Reducing the risk of illegally imported citrus budwood (CT19004).

The objectives of the services being sought are to first review the demand for citrus varieties not currently available in Australia, and to investigate the economic rationale for having clean material available. If feasible, the project will then source and propagate nursery stock such that disease-free material of desired varieties are available. The project will:

  • Support the Australian citrus industry in maintaining high health and disease-free status
  • Prevent the entry of exotic pathogens that have the potential to damage the industry
  • Provide additional citrus varieties for Australian citrus growers.

Hort Innovation has prepared a Request for Proposal (RFP) document that provides background information, outlines the scope of services, the procurement process and the information required from interested parties. The RFP may be downloaded from www.tenders.net (you will need to be a member of tenders.net to access this information).

The closing date for responses is 5.00pm (AEDT), 25 October 2019.
