Hort Innovation is seeking a suitably qualified, experienced and capable delivery partner for the project: Feasibility/scoping study: Surveillance and diagnostic framework for detecting soil-borne pathogens in vegetable industries (MT21016).

The objectives of the services being sought are to:

  • Enhance the biosecurity preparedness of, and drive productivity in, the Australian vegetable industries by determining the best methods for sampling soil to look for endemic and exotic plant diseases
  • Determine the feasibility and scope of a larger project or series of projects to develop a nationally consistent framework for soil surveillance and diagnostics
  • Discover new areas for R&D investment by undertaking a foundational project and gap analysis in current knowledge of soil surveillance and diagnostics.

Hort Innovation has prepared a Request for Proposal (RFP) document that provides background information, outlines the scope of services, the procurement process and the information required from interested parties.
