Project Application Types
When submitting a project to HAL via its online application system, there are a number of application types to choose from:
Conference/Study Tour This application is for projects requesting funds for a conference or study tour. Any type of funding (ie levy or VC matching) can be sought using this application.
Industry Development Project This application is for projects involving industry skills development activities and technology transfer for example Industry Development Officers. Any type of funding (ie levy or VC matching) can be sought using this application.
Marketing This application is for projects for marketing activity (advertising, promotions, trade shows etc). Australian Government matching dollars cannot be sought for marketing activities. Therefore the only funding that can be sought in marketing applications are ‘Other Sources not managed by HAL’, ‘Marketing Levy Unmatchable’ and ‘VC unmatchable’.
Marketing Consumer Research This application is for consumer market research projects. HAL is able to provide Australian Government matching dollars for consumer research activities. For details of HAL's policy on this, please read "Matched Funding for Market Research". If a project has both consumer research and marketing activities, then this type of proposal should be used as both matching R&D dollars and unmatched marketing dollars can be sought in this application.
R&D This application is for all projects relating to research or development activities not specified above. Any type of funds (ie levy or VC matching) can be sought using this application.
