Learning from the past to amplify community vegetable education programs of the future (VG22003)

Key research provider: AgEcon

What's it all about?

This investment is looking into how future investments to increase vegetable consumption can be developed to deliver the most beneficial outcomes and improved return on investment.

As the share of the Australian population consuming the recommended five serves of vegetables remains low, at just 8.7 per cent of adults and 9 per cent of children, the imperative to drive consumption growth persists and presents both a need and opportunity.

This project will deliver a systematic evaluation of relevant levy-funded investments and other community initiatives that have been previously delivered to increase vegetable demand.

Based on the findings, a set of recommendations will be provided that the vegetable industry can use to shape future investments to drive measurable changes to vegetable consumption.
