HAL is funded by:

  • statutory levies (marketing and R&D) from our member industries;
  • voluntary contribution funds received from grower associations, commercial enterprises and individuals;
  • Commonwealth Government dollar for dollar funding for expenditure on R&D up to 0.5 per cent of the gross value of production for the total horticulture industry;
  • other sources such as interest, royalties, sale of publications etc.
